Digital technology and the Internet enter everyday life more and more. It is critical to understand the challenges they pose to democracy, human rights, social life, and sustainability. Getting informed, discussing difficult questions, and organizing collective action requires face-to-face contact and welcoming spaces in the city where people have the opportunity to get engaged.

A coalition of organizations in Switzerland working on important values of Internet Technologies are aiming to establish a public platform where citizens can get access to important information, and create opportunities for collective learning and action. The 7at7 event series at L200 and online!

The 7at7 series aims to address important questions around digital issues in an informative and empowering way. The goal is not to take a position but understand in more depth what is at stake and how things work.

Until today the following organizations are actively contributing:

• The Internet Society's Beyond the Net Grant, provides a fund of 30K CHF for space rental, traveling, graphic design and content creation which is managed by the ISOC Switzerland Chapter.
• pEp foundation and NetHood are co-organizing the whole series of events with own resources.
• Digitale Gesellschaft is hosting the online space used for the events, and contributes with content and the organization of specific events (e.g., May2020 and June 2020).
• SGMK has hosted the August 7at7 event
