Showcasing Mechatronic Art: DIY, Making & Empowerment

In August we will be devoting ourselves to the topic of Hardware & Making: Together with the Swiss Society for Mechatronic Art (SGMK) we want to show you what can be done with soldering irons, computers and creativity. With this, we are taking up the topics DIY, Making & Empowerment, but also Knowledge Sharing, Openness & Experimentation.

7a7 team members will take part in the summer camp of mechatronic artists in the Jura and present you what has been done there during the camp.

You can participate online or at the L200 (or in the Jura :)).

The camp is the "research and work week for DIY, technology and art projects" and the participants work together or individually on projects such as music, robotics, visualization and much more.

Here is a short video teaser from the first days of the camp:

And this is the self description of the SGMK:

"We encourage creative work in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanics, computer science and related fields. [...] The focus is on work and research, events and further education, exchange and networking as well as raising and maintaining quality in mechatronic art."

We will also continue to experiment with "hybrid events": This time, two spaces want to connect with each other & the online space. We are curious!

Note: The main language of the event will be German (translation in English will be available at L200).
